Fat Hog's Bay a cruiser's delight |

This beautiful, conveniently located bay is excellent for
overnight anchoring with all the yachtsman's facilities. On the Sir Francis Drake Channel
a short taxi ride from Road Town, Fat Hog's Bay is close to the Beef
Island Airport.
Penn's Landing Marina at East End Bay is the location of Penn's Landing restaurant, the Sailor's Ketch seafood market (5-1100) and Woods' Marine Services (5-1134). The Sea Breeze Marina at Fat Hog's Bay is the home of Seabreeze Yacht Charters and Trade Wind Yachts (see picture of its fleet above), along with the Bistro Restaurant, the Ritebreeze grocery store (a Riteway convenience outlet), the nearby Parham Town General Store (5-1620) for supplies and Parham Food Market (5-2499) for local groceries. Here also is Barecat Charters. Dining. Penn's Landing, a fine restaruant open for lunch and dinner with an excellent reputation, specializes in fresh fish and other seafood. The Bistro restaurant, open in season for breakfast, lunch and dinner, has good food. Also within walking distance is the restaurant Caribbean Flavas and a ATM at Barclay's Bank. The Virgin Queen, a branch of the larger Road Town restaurant and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including salt fish, of its very popular local food on a cozy terrace across from Tradewind Yachts.
Nature. Fat Hog's Bay is the location of excellent stands of mangroves and a variety of herons, including Yellow-crowned Night Herons, Great Blue Herons and Green-backed Herons. |
