a 24' Melges skippered by Chris The Bareboat 1 class was won by Lady Kathleen, a Beneteau 510 skippered by local BVI sailor Presley King. The 27th Annual BVI Spring Regatta is an internationally famous sailboat race and one of the Caribbean's premier events, being the largest regatta of the Caribbean Ocean Racing Triangle (CORT) series which starts with the Heineken International Cup in Puerto Rico already raced and finishes with the Rolex Regatta in St Thomas on April 10-12, 1998. Heavy Competition. Contenders include the Santa Cruz 70s Donnybrook and Pied Pier, the German Frers-designed, 72-footer, Javelin and the Santa Cruz 50, Passion.
